MR Truck Driver / Forklift Operator
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced MR Truck Driver / Forklift Operator to join the team within the fruit and vegetable packaging industry.
This is a hands-on role combining local deliveries, forklift operation, and warehouse support activities. You will be responsible for completing deliveries throughout Adelaide's northern suburbs and surrounding market garden regions while assisting with loading, unloading, and general warehouse duties when required. This position offers consistent year-round employment, with significantly increased hours and overtime opportunities during the busy summer produce season.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Complete local deliveries throughout Adelaide's northern suburbs and surrounding market garden regions.
• Safely load and unload trucks using a forklift and manual handling techniques.
• Verify customer orders, delivery documentation, and product quantities before dispatch.
• Ensure goods are delivered accurately and professionally to customers.
• Secure loads and transport products safely.
• Maintain trucks, forklifts, and warehouse areas to a high standard.
• Assist with warehouse operations, order preparation, and general site duties.
• Report equipment faults, delivery issues, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Support the wider team during peak operational periods.

 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current MR License (or higher).
• Current LF Forklift License.
• Previous truck driving and forklift operating experience.
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles safely.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Understanding of load restraint and safe manual handling practices.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

 
Working Hours
As part of the fresh produce industry, this role operates within a seasonal environment, and working hours will vary throughout the year based on customer demand and operational requirements.
During the winter season, employees can expect a minimum of approximately 28-30 hours per week.
During the summer peak season, working hours increase significantly, with regular overtime opportunities available. Saturday work may also be required during busy periods.
