This large multinational organisation operates within the distribution and industrial sector, with teams across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Canning Vale, the Perth operation supports approximately 50–70 employees across a range of functions including operations and engineering.
About the role
The People Specialist will manage day-to-day HR functions across the full employee lifecycle. This role requires close collaboration with local management and the Sydney People team, ensuring effective HR practices and compliance with Australian employment legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes
- Provide HR advice to managers and employees
- Interpret modern awards and ensure compliance with employment legislation
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies
- Facilitate organisational development and people initiatives
- Coordinate payroll information across Australia and New Zealand using ADP
- Maintain HR documentation and administration
- Operate as the sole HR representative in Perth, partnering with local management.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in HR generalist roles with full employee lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern award interpretation
- Experience in employee relations and performance management
- Ability to operate autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of payroll fundamentals and calculation logic.
