The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the senior management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting within tight deadlines.
- Manage treasury activities, including rolling cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Support financial planning and analysis by developing meaningful reports and insights using Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Provide timely financial analysis and reporting to support commercial decision-making across the business.
- Manage day-to-day finance activities including accounts receivable, payment processing, bank reconciliations and expense management.
- Prepare and submit VAT, VIES, Intrastat and other statutory returns in line with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors throughout the audit process.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics and commercial teams to support the efficient delivery of business objectives.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (desirable but not essential).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business.
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and continuously improve.
