Job Title: Fleet Operations Specialist Level Job Location: Charlotte, NC Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $20.00 p/hr NOW HIRING – Fleet Operations Specialist Level Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Location: 100% Onsite Position Type: Office-Based – No Driving Required Interview: In-Person Interview Required Opportunity: Temp-to-Permanent POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a highly organized, reliable, and customer-focused Driver Support & DOT Compliance Coordinator to join our transportation team. This is primarily a communication and administrative position, with approximately 95% of the job focused on communicating with drivers by phone and messaging platforms, coordinating rental trucks, assisting with schedules, and resolving issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable using computers, has strong communication skills, is organized, and can stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Driver Support & Communication Serve as the primary evening point of contact for drivers. Answer incoming calls and messages from drivers. Assist drivers with schedule questions and field-related issues. Troubleshoot problems and determine when issues need to be escalated. Assist with driver scheduling and coordination. Help ensure drivers are on the road as scheduled. Communicate professionally with drivers, vendors, and internal teams. Administrative & Compliance Duties Coordinate rental trucks through phone and digital communication platforms. Maintain and update driver records and qualification files. Assist with DOT compliance and safety documentation. Enter and maintain accurate information in company systems. Organize and maintain digital files. Use Microsoft Excel and other internal computer programs. Follow company procedures and learn transportation-specific systems and processes. REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail. Good customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn DOT regulations and transportation procedures. Must be reliable and professional. EXPERIENCE Trucking experience is NOT required. Experience in any of the following is a plus: Transportation Logistics Dispatch Driver Support DOT Compliance Warehouse Operations Customer Service Administrative/Office Support Training will be provided on DOT regulations, trucking systems, and company procedures.
