Summary:The main function of a Process Development Technician is to support the design, testing, and optimization of manufacturing or laboratory processes. A typical Process Development Technician works closely with engineers and scientists to implement new procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure process efficiency and compliance. Job Responsibilities: Assist in the development and scale-up of new manufacturing or laboratory processes Operate, calibrate, and maintain process equipment and instrumentation Collect and analyze data to evaluate process performance and identify improvements Document procedures, results, and standard operating protocols (SOPs) Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ testing Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations Train operators and technicians on new or revised processesSkills: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process documentation Proficiency in data analysis and process simulation tools Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulatory standardsEducation/Experience: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Science, or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or laboratory support
