The Opportunity
We are supporting the delivery of a major capital investment programme within the UK water sector and are seeking two experienced Project Planners to join a growing programme delivery team based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for planners with strong Primavera P6 expertise to contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and engineering projects. Working within a collaborative project controls environment, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and analysing project schedules that support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and key stakeholders to ensure programme performance is accurately measured, reported, and forecasted throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
Establish project baselines and support programme controls governance requirements.
Monitor project progress and analyse schedule performance against agreed milestones.
Identify schedule risks, critical path activities, and opportunities for programme optimisation.
Produce regular planning reports, dashboards, and progress updates for project stakeholders.
Support change management processes and assess the schedule impact of proposed changes.
Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure accurate progress measurement and forecasting.
Participate in project reviews, planning workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Ensure planning standards, methodologies, and reporting requirements are consistently applied.
About You
We are interested in professionals who can demonstrate:
Proven experience as a Project Planner within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, construction, or major project environments.
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
Understanding of critical path analysis, progress measurement, and schedule forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to engage effectively with project teams and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Experience within the water sector is advantageous but not essential.
