Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) - Primary Montessori School

The Role:

• Immediate start, Term 3 2026 (Full time)
• Teaching in a multi-aged classroom (6-12 years old)
• Supporting students with their social, emotional and academic development in a Montessori environment
• Expect a Star is working closely with the Department of Education, independent and catholic schools, to support with their emergency Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) and Full-time needs. We are liaising directly with the School Principals to select and assign high quality Primary and Secondary generalist teachers when their needs arise. This vacancy is not and will not be the only vacancy that we are assisting with. 

 
What you will do:

• Deliver engaging Montessori lesson plans and activities, while maintaining a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment for children aged 6-12 years old
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour and uphold school expectations and policies
• Supervise students during transitions and designated duties as required, including playground supervision
• Collaborate professionally with support staff to accurately record and communicate incidents, student progress and relevant feedback in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.

 
What you need:

• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience on Montessori curriculum
• Valid NESA registration
• 2x professional referees
• Availability through Term 3 and/or 4 2026, and sometimes at short notice
