Shift Supervisor

Shift Supervisor – City of London – FM Service Provider – £55,000 per annum

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join an established FM service provider on a prestigious and high-profile contract in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shift Leader or Engineering Supervisor looking for a days-only shift position, offering an excellent salary, strong benefits package and genuine opportunities for future career progression. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled engineers, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs. This is a client-facing position, so we are looking for someone technically strong who is also professional, confident and comfortable building relationships with the client, contractors and wider contract team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of multi-skilled engineers across the contract
• Oversee all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Ensure engineering tasks are completed within agreed KPIs and SLAs
• Allocate and coordinate works across the engineering team
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineers
• Oversee specialist subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Ensure site logbooks, reports and maintenance documentation remain accurate and up to date
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all engineering activities
• Ensure statutory and contractual compliance requirements are met
• Monitor electrical infrastructure, HVAC and general building services
• Assist with fault-finding and technical issues across the site
• Develop strong working relationships with the client and wider contract team
• Attend client and operational meetings when required
• Support contract performance and commercial requirements
• Ensure safe systems of work, permits and relevant procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

• Electrical or Mechanical qualification – NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
• Previous experiencewithin commercial building services / facilities management
• Will be required to obtain a CTC Security Check (Criminal background check)
• Previous experience as a Shift Leader, Lead Engineer, Engineering Supervisor or similar
• Strong technical knowledge across electrical infrastructure, HVAC and general building services
• Experience supervising and managing engineering teams
• Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements
• Confident, professional and client-facing
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Able to manage workloads effectively and use own initiative
• Commercially aware with an understanding of contract KPIs and SLAs
