Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of civil infrastructure projects, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join their high-performing team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of surveying activities across a range of civil construction projects.

You will play a key role in project delivery, ensuring accurate survey data, set-out and as-built information is provided to support construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and undertaking survey set-out, as-builts and site pickups
• Managing survey data, models and documentation throughout project lifecycles
• Producing and maintaining final plans and as-built records
• Conducting quality assurance checks and ensuring compliance with project specifications
• Managing and maintaining survey equipment, machine control systems and software
• Supporting project teams with technical advice and survey-related problem solving
• Collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to support project delivery outcomes
• Participating in tender reviews and quantity verification activities
• Promoting safe work practices and maintaining high standards of site safety
• Coaching, mentoring and developing junior survey team members

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction surveying
• Experience working on road, earthworks, subdivisions and infrastructure projects
• Strong proficiency with GNSS, total stations, digital levels and machine control systems
• Advanced skills in Trimble Business Center (TBC), Trimble Access, 12d and AutoCAD
• Experience with survey data management, QA/QC processes and conformance reporting
• Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing project priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to quality outcomes

Essential Requirements

• TAFE Surveying Certificate III, Undergraduate Certificate in Surveying or equivalent
• Current Driver's Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• TBC and 12d certification or demonstrated equivalent experience

Desirable

• Bachelor of Surveying, Associate Degree in Surveying, Certificate IV in Surveying or equivalent
