Role: Child & Youth Team Leader
Posts: Full-Time (39h pw) & Permanent
Salary: €56,915 per annum
Location: North Dublin Based
FRS Recruitment in partnership with Aoibhneas are seeking a Child & Youth Team Leader to lead, develop and oversee Aoibhneas' Children and Youth Service, ensuring a high-quality, trauma-informed response for children and young people impacted by domestic abuse. The successful candidate will ensure professional standards are maintained in the provision of support services for children, young people and their mothers.
The role requires providing leadership, supervision and support to staff, developing evidence-informed programmes that promote safety, recovery, resilience, well-being and positive developmental outcomes. The role involves strengthening partnerships with statutory, community and voluntary agencies supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse.

Essential Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Studies, Community Development or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years' relevant experience working with children and young people in a social care, family support or community setting.
- Minimum of one year's experience in a supervisory, coordination or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on children and young people.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Children's First legislation and safeguarding practice.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment, support planning and case management.
- Strong people management, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and inter-agency settings.
- Strong report-writing and IT skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Studies, Leadership, Management or related field.
- Experience in domestic violence services.
- Experience developing and evaluating children's programmes.
- Training in trauma-informed practice, therapeutic interventions or play-based approaches.
- Full Driving Licence.
