Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer – Agricultural Equipment

The Role

We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in product design, CAD, prototyping, and manufacturing.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting projects from initial concept through design, production, and on-farm installation — creating practical solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical design, CAD drawings, and manufacturing specifications
  • Develop and modify product designs using AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements
  • Prepare technical drawings and documentation
  • Work closely with engineering, production, sales, and customers
  • Gain exposure to real-world agricultural equipment design projects

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong interest in design, manufacturing, and product development
  • Basic knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience an advantage)
  • Good problem-solving skills with a practical approach & willingness to learn
  • Interest in agriculture, machinery, or engineering solutions
  • Full clean driving licence
