Job Location: Scranton PA
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: Hybrid Role- Mondays & Friday are remote. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in Office 8:00am-5:00pm Based on Experience $29-$34/hr
Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning materials supply. You will be responsible for planning raw material and packaging inventory levels to support forecasted demand and production requirements, and for issuing purchase orders or replenishment signals accordingly. You will also lead regular communication with suppliers to ensure materials are produced, shipped, and received on schedule.
- Interfacing with suppliers and external partners. You will provide clear planning signals and work closely with suppliers to adjust order timing, quantities, and priorities in response to changes in demand, lead times, and production schedules.
- Cross functional collaboration. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Sourcing, New Product teams, and Customer Service to ensure materials are available to support ongoing production, customer deliveries, and new product launches.
- Creating and maintaining department reports. You will own and maintain the tools and reports required to monitor material availability, inventory health, supplier performance, and planning accuracy, while identifying opportunities to improve the materials planning process.
- Communications. You will be responsible for communicating current material availability, potential shortages, expected recoveries, and other supply issues that may impact production or customer delivery execution.
- Personal development. You will be responsible for participating in learning opportunities that further develop your expertise in Supply Chain.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABLITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication (verbal/written) skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong PC skills, including the use of MS Office products (particularly Excel), as well as proficiency in using SAP or a similar ERP package
- Self-motivated ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage volatile/changing conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred
- Experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing with particular focus on production planning/scheduling and materials management disciplines preferred
- 3-5 years Production Planning, Plant Purchasing and/or Logistics preferred
- Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP system required
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
- Experience with Anaplan or similar production planning software preferred
