Maintenance Electrician

AWX are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an established industrial manufacturing environment based in Revesby, with work also required at Marrickville and, from next year onwards, Villawood.

This is a hands-on maintenance role suited to an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance

Key Requirements

• Current NSW Electrical Licence essential
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Flexible to work weekends and changing shift times when required
• Ability to work across Revesby, Marrickville and Villawood
• Willingness to support all areas of site maintenance, including mechanical and general maintenance, not only electrical work
• Hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical tools
• Manufacturing background preferred
• F&B or pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required

Day-to-Day Duties

• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and systems in an industrial environment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial electrical equipment
• Test electrical systems using specialised equipment to ensure safety and compliance
• Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical faults in machinery and control systems
• Complete mechanical preventative maintenance work orders in MEX
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, regulations and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Communicate effectively with contractors, line managers, production, QA and team members
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required
• Troubleshoot PLC controls and instrumentation across multiple platforms
• Work with a wide range of industrial instruments, VSDs and PLCs
• Support general maintenance activities across the site as required

• 6:00am 2:06pm standard shift
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
