About the role: 

This role provides business intelligence support to business transformation activities. These may include technology implementation and business improvement initiatives including designing and embedding new ways of working.

 

The Business Intelligence Analyst manages data sets and creates reports, dashboards and data visualisations to effectively communicate accurate performance metrics, analysis, reporting and insights to enable high quality operational and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

• • Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders. 
  • Model, cleanse, organise and categorise data sets for use in analytics applications. Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks and governance practices. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, data visualisations, tools and reports to present data findings clearly and effectively and enable data driven decision making to inform strategic business planning and decision making, optimise performance, forecast future business needs and trends, meet client needs, and achieve organisational outcomes.  
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, uphold data standards, and ensure alignment of analytical initiatives with organisational objectives. 
  • Track and report on the impact of data driven initiatives, demonstrating the value of analytics in improving business performance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data processes and reporting tools and make recommendations that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyse market data to support the improvement and development of new products and services.
  • Provide training and support to end users, fostering a culture of data literacy across the organisation.

 

The Successful Candidate:

• Managing relationships and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, given the need to balance competing interests and demands which are often changing and unpredictable.
• Effectively translating complex data findings into clear, actionable insights that resonate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintaining high data quality and consistency and influencing colleagues to uphold data standards.  Managing competing priorities.
• Delivering multiple data analysis support activities and services in line with agreed timeframes and milestones, to enable timely and integrated service delivery.
