We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) for a 4 month contract supporting delivery on the Alkimos Desalination Plant project. This is a site-based opportunity for a capable mechanical project engineer with strong fabrication and SMP package delivery experience who can quickly add value in a fast-moving project environment.

About the role
  • Support mechanical package delivery across fabrication, SMP works and site execution.
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to maintain safe, efficient progress.
  • Review technical documentation, manage queries and help drive quality, completions and handover outcomes.
  • Work 11 hour days, Monday to Friday, on a circa $100/hr + super contract rate.
About you
  • Strong fabrication and SMP package delivery experience.
  • Previous Tier 1 contractor experience will be highly regarded.
  • Experience on major infrastructure or industrial construction projects is preferred.
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering degree with the confidence to work autonomously and solve site-based delivery challenges.
  • Ideally based in Perth’s northern suburbs to support a reasonable commute and fatigue management requirements.
  • Existing Australian work rights are essential
