The Company
My client operates within a manufacturing environment and is focused on maintaining high operational and service standards across its equipment and facilities. The maintenance team plays a key role in ensuring machinery reliability and minimising downtime through proactive and reactive maintenance practices.
The Role
This position involves working rotating shifts (early and late) and focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a range of machinery and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective troubleshooting
- Performing maintenance across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Monitoring and supporting PLC-controlled systems
- Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and circuit diagrams
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs and servicing
- Attending meetings and providing regular updates to management
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a maintenance or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge (e.g. gearboxes, chains, bearings)
- A solid understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience or exposure to PLC systems (desirable)
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
