The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Bowen Hills. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong and analytically driven finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and delivering meaningful insights to support business performance.

This is a primarily office-based role, with flexibility to work from home on an ad-hoc basis when required.

Conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from Fortitude Valley train station, the organisation also offers free on-site staff parking.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance across the business, including:

  • Leading the management accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Preparing monthly management reports, including variance and performance analysis
  • Driving budgeting and forecasting processes, including rolling forecasts
  • Delivering financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Developing and enhancing reporting dashboards and insights for senior stakeholders
  • Partnering with operational and commercial teams to provide financial guidance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and systems

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in a Senior Management Accountant or similar role
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced modelling, data manipulation, reporting)
  • Experience delivering insights through financial analysis and reporting
  • Exposure to ERP systems and data-driven environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong commercial acumen
