Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machining centers while ensuring precision, quality, and production standards are consistently met. This position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Interpret complex drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine required work.
- Perform diversified operations on CNC machining centers.
- Execute milling, drilling, boring, and related machining operations while maintaining close and interrelated tolerances.
- Review setup sheets and specifications to determine machining sequences and finished workpiece dimensions.
- Enter commands and manipulate machine controls to position cutting tools and initiate machine operations.
- Monitor machine performance and identify malfunctions, including worn or damaged tooling.
- Conduct inspections and gauging procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Measure finished workpieces to verify conformance to engineering requirements.
- Notify supervisors of discrepancies and make machine adjustments when conditions are out of tolerance or operating abnormally.
- Machine a variety of materials, including metals, composites, plastics, and rubber.
- Clean machines, tooling, and work areas, and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
Required skills and qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Experience operating CNC machining centers.
- Experience performing milling, drilling, boring, and related machining operations.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Manufacturing experience in a production environment.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, technical documents, drawings, and visual/verbal directives.
- High school diploma, GED, or skilled trade certificate.
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
Shift 3 rd (Monday through Friday 11 pm to 7 am with OT as needed)
Salary $21-23 an hour based on experience plus shift differential
