About the Role
Based in Perth, you will join a leading manufacturer of IVD instruments and research equipment, supporting laboratories and hospitals with your expertise. As a key member of the Customer Care team, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical instruments such as Haematology, Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Histology systems. Your technical skills will directly contribute to delivering reliable diagnostic solutions, while your proactive approach will foster strong customer relationships and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechatronics, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • At least 2 years of field service experience with diagnostic equipment, especially in Haematology and Histology/Digital Slide Scanning
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly
  • Experience with LIS systems and Linux is advantageous
  • Highly organised with a proactive attitude and a sense of ownership
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed

Nice to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of software support and calibration procedures
  • Previous experience supporting research or hospital environments
  • Exposure to project management or training delivery

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mechatronics, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years’ hands-on field service experience with biomedical diagnostic equipment

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel across Australia
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call roster
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
