About the role:
Working alongside a diverse group of people experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, you'll use a recovery-focused and person-centred approach to help clients identify and achieve their individual goals.

You'll also play an important role in mentoring Recovery Partners, supporting day-to-day site operations and building strong relationships with families, external agencies and other professionals.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to Recovery Partners and assist with day-to-day site management
  • Mentor and support staff to deliver recovery-focused, person-centred care
  • Support intake, assessment processes and service level agreements
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and care teams to deliver best-practice activities and support
  • Develop person-centred summaries, reports and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with families, significant others, external agencies and professionals
  • Support medication administration and associated documentation
  • Participate in verbal and written handovers
  • Identify opportunities for clients to engage in education, training and employment
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Recovery Partners across other Community Options sites
  • Support clients to develop and achieve meaningful personal recovery goals
About you You're an experienced mental health professional with a strong understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred practice.

You’ll bring experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, along with the ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team.

You’re a confident communicator who builds positive relationships and takes a calm, solutions-focused approach to challenging situations.

To be successful, you'll have:
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or higher qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience supporting people experiencing mental health conditions
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring or managing staff
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to assess situations and identify appropriate solutions that promote recovery
  • Strong understanding of recovery principles and person-centred practice
  • A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve greater independence and quality of life
