Red Hat System Administrator

Overview

Client is seeking a Red Hat System Administrator to maintain and optimize a Linux-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments while ensuring high availability and operational reliability.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift, including cluster administration, workload provisioning, security management, patching, and upgrade activities. Strong scripting, networking, and documentation skills are essential for success in this environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.

• Ensure the availability and performance of Linux-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.

• Administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including provisioning virtual machine and containerized workloads.

• Manage OpenShift operators and oversee platform security, patching, and upgrade cycles.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and operational procedures.

• Apply scripting and networking knowledge to support system administration and operational efficiency.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

• Demonstrated experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

• Expertise managing Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including workload provisioning, operator management, security administration, patching, and upgrades.

• Strong scripting capabilities.

• Solid networking knowledge.

• Experience maintaining high-availability environments for critical applications.

• Strong documentation and technical writing practices.

Preferred Skills or Experience

• Experience managing storage solutions, including NFS environments on NetApp platforms.

• Onsite full-time.
