Profusion is partnering with a highly regarded, market-leading investment management organisation seeking an experienced Applications Support Developer to join their Technology Delivery team.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of a suite of business-critical enterprise applications.

Working closely with development, testing, operations and business teams, you will investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis and deliver robust, long-term solutions. You'll also contribute to application enhancements, technical improvements and continuous optimisation initiatives across the technology landscape.

This role offers a strong mix of hands-on development and production support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both building and maintaining enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain critical enterprise applications
• Investigate and resolve application incidents, service requests and production issues
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions
• Analyse existing code and communicate technical findings to stakeholders
• Design, develop and enhance applications using Microsoft technologies
• Perform testing and create supporting unit tests for enhancements
• Support release, deployment and change management processes
• Develop and maintain database solutions and SQL queries
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams across global locations
• Contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives
• Maintain support documentation, incident logs and knowledge articles

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years' experience supporting enterprise applications
• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Experience across .NET 8+, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Web API and Entity Framework
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
• Understanding of SOLID principles, OOP and layered architecture
• Experience developing and supporting secure web services and APIs
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and GitHub
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving capability
• Experience working within structured development and deployment processes
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
