Territory Manager - Upper North Island NZ

The Opportunity

Due to the pending retirement of the long-standing Territory Manager, a new opportunity exists for a successful candidate to further build on the existing business foundations but with the opportunity to add your own flavour and footprint to the business and client base.
  
Reporting to the Country Manager in Auckland, you will be based in the Pukekohe (preferred) or Auckland region and be responsible to achieve sales and gross profit budgets within a designated territory. You will incorporate business development strategies and key stakeholder activities to manage a wide range of growers, distributors, and nursery accounts across the Upper North Island.
 
If successful you will:

• Build strong working relationships with a diverse range of clients
• Target and build new business opportunities
• Oversee trailing of new products
• Work closely with the product development team to place and assess trials on growers’ properties
• Ensure that the results of trials are fully reported in a timely manner
• Gather and share key market information and intelligence and feed back into Company
• Maintain and grow Terranova’s exceptional reputation of quality to maximise sales, drive product quality and improve its competitive position in New Zealand.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

• Sales experience in vegetable seed industry OR related knowledge
• Have experience working remotely to grow revenue and gross profit
• Be a natural stakeholder manager with an ‘easy to deal’ with personality
• You may possibly come from chemical, fertiliser, or broader horticultural background
• Be a team player, happy to share thoughts, ideas, and assistance willingly
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Naturally have extremely high values and ethics
• Be a self-starter with exceptionally communication skills both verbal and written

You may be an experienced Territory Manager looking to move to an ethical well-run seed business, or someone on the cusp of such a role, so, if you know vegetables or farming, we would like to talk to you.
  
Incorporated in the role will be overnight travel within your territory.
