Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer
Reporting to: Engineering Project Manager IRL & UK

Responsibilities
Project management of site projects from detailed design through to project completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget, with minimal impact to site operations across all project phases on Irish sites.

Key Attributes

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree qualification
• 2+ years’ post-graduation engineering work experience
• Decisive, with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Strong team player with the ability to achieve company goals both collaboratively and independently
• Methodical with excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical solutions quickly
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across various projects and sites
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Project Management and CAD experience an advantage
• Ability to complete administrative tasks in line with job requirements

Key Tasks and Duties

• Work in line with company values and standards
• Ensure a safe, clean working environment and adherence to permit systems
• Manage site CAPEX and operational projects
• Oversee contractors, ensuring Health and Safety procedures align with company policies
• Source cost-effective solutions and collaborate with OEMs/suppliers to maximise return on investment
• Lead projects from detailed design through to successful approval stages
• Maintain flexibility in working hours to meet project deadlines and schedules
• Complete snag lists, site handover protocols, and update site documentation
• Plan, coordinate, and communicate effectively with all site departments
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure smooth project execution
• Work with the Engineering Project Manager IRL & UK to drive improvements and follow industry best practices
• Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Site Management Teams, and Senior Management
• Travel to OEM and European sites for project design and knowledge sharing when necessary
• Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as required by management
