Location: San Diego, CA (On-site Monday–Thursday; on-site or remote Friday*)

Pay Range: $45.50–$50.50/hr

Duration: 1 Year Contract (potential conversion to FTE)

Summary: This role supports programs within a leading California energy utility's Wildfire Mitigation Program (WMP), which falls under the General Rate Case (GRC) and is regulated by the CA Office of Energy Safety (OEIS) and the CPUC. The Project & Program Associate supports programs that deliver backup power solutions to residential and non-residential customers in high fire threat districts, covering customer engagement, database management, vendor management, and compliance/regulatory reporting. This person will work closely with the team and program partners to operate, improve, and report on program performance.




Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Customer Programs department. Key responsibilities include:




Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:

• Manages small to medium-sized projects within the department
• Manages and coordinates all activities leading to successful project completion, including scoping, timelines, cost estimates, design, and vendor management
• Develops and maintains project requirement parameters, including implementation plans, procedures, handbooks, and product market analysis
• Develops, maintains, and enhances program data and reporting, leveraging multiple internal data sources and modern data technology tools and practices
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding program information and verifies customer eligibility
• Provides direction to contractors, consultants, and project teams
• Coordinates procurement activities for project-related materials and services, ensuring compliance with established guidelines
• Identifies and escalates potential risks or issues impacting project timelines or deliverables to appropriate stakeholders
• Monitors project performance metrics and prepares status reports to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Supports daily operations of assigned programs, including maintaining documentation and records
• Coordinates meetings and prepares agendas
• Assists with budget tracking and reporting
• Updates program databases and spreadsheets
• Helps organize program-related events and prepares materials for training and outreach

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Level III: 5–8 years of relevant experience
