Junior Developer

Location: Glens Falls, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $21/hour to start, with a pay increase upon permanent hire
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Our client is looking for a Junior Developer to join their IT team in Glens Falls. This is a great opportunity for a recent Computer Science graduate or someone with programming experience who is looking to get their foot in the door and build a career in software development.

The role will begin on the Help Desk for approximately six months, giving you the opportunity to learn the company's systems, software, and business before transitioning into a Junior Developer position on the Software Engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support and customer service by phone
• Troubleshoot software and system issues
• Learn proprietary software and internal processes
• Assist with programming and software development after transitioning to the development team
• Work with the IT team to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance applications

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent programming education/experience
• Some programming experience through school, internships, personal projects, or work
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working with customers over the phone
• Patient, dependable, and willing to learn
• Strong problem-solving skills

Training will be provided on the client's in-house systems and software. This is a small, approachable team with an open-door culture and a laid-back work environment.
