Responsibilities
  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable, and fiber optic cabling
  • Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)
  • Punch down voice and data jacks
  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
  • Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
  • Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
  • Experience terminating and installing RJ45, coaxial, and fiber optic connectors

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience installing low-voltage structured cabling systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Experience with OTDR, power meter, and fiber test equipment
  • Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
  • BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
  • Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee as needed - Will travel with Access Lead in Company vehicle
