Senior Mining Engineer

• Brisbane based - permanent position - owners team
• Work across open pit and underground (metals)

The role: 

That's right its a Brisbane based Senior Mining Engineer position (with a little bit of ad hoc site travel). However this is not your traditional mine planning role doing medium to long term planning in Brisbane. We are after someone with some operational flair and a knack for improvement. If I could describe the work it would include:

• Improvement projects
• Upgrading / rolling out technology
• Influencing and training 
• Problem solving
• Little bit of design and scheduling - showing others a better way
• Work across open pit and underground 
• Knows what good looks like and putting that into place across multiple operations

Experience required:

• Qualifications in mining engineering
• Can do most of what I have described above
• Site experience and can lead and influence and communicate 
• Experience with a range of planning, design, scheduling software
• Open pit OR underground metals experience (both will be good) but either / or also ok

The role will suit a site engineer looking to get to Brisbane, perhaps you are in a consultancy / contractor as a senior and want to get back to a owners team environment. Have u/g experience and want to get exposure to open pit or vice versa.
