Mental Health Clinician | Locum | Mildura

Here at Talent Quarter, we are currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician for a 6-week locum opportunity in Mildura, Victoria, commencing 6 October. Travel reimbursement is available for the successful candidate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled mental health professional to broaden their clinical experience, develop their skills within a regional healthcare setting, and enjoy a unique outback adventure along the way.

The Role
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide high-quality clinical assessment, intervention and support to adults accessing the Adult Recovery and Wellbeing Service.
You will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive mental state examinations and clinical assessments
• Completing risk assessments and developing appropriate risk management plans
• Providing evidence-based mental health interventions and support
• Working collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team
• Contributing to clinical care planning, documentation and ongoing review
• Supporting consumers throughout their recovery and wellbeing journey
• Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a regional healthcare environment 

About You

• 3–5 years of relevant mental health experience
• A relevant bachelor’s degree; postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded
• Previous experience in acute mental health and/or hospital settings
• Strong clinical assessment, risk management and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
• A current Australian driver's licence
• Current Australian professional registration (e.g. AHPRA, AASW, or relevant body)
