Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
At the organization, we are on a mission to drive meaningful and sustained customer engagement by creating intuitive, personalized, and value-driven experiences that empower users to actively manage and improve their health.

We are seeking a Product Manager, Medicare Advantage to own the digital product experience for our Medicare Advantage population within the organization. This role requires deep expertise in the unique needs of Medicare Advantage members — from plan navigation and benefits utilization to care coordination — combined with the ability to build trust and alignment across a broad set of internal and external stakeholders, including health plan operations, compliance/regulatory, marketing, and technology partners. You will translate stakeholder priorities and member needs into a coherent product roadmap, and you'll be the person stakeholders turn to when they need clarity on what's being built, why, and when.

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:
  • Own and articulate a Medicare Advantage product vision that reflects the needs of an aging population while aligning with the organization’s broader health plan and business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with health plan leadership, clinical stakeholders, compliance, and member services to ensure the product roadmap reflects regulatory requirements  and operational realities
  • Define and prioritize features that improve plan comprehension, benefits utilization, and care navigation for Medicare Advantage members, balancing stakeholder input, member insights, and technical feasibility

Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary product point of contact for Medicare Advantage stakeholders, proactively managing expectations, surfacing tradeoffs, and building consensus across groups with differing priorities
  • Facilitate regular touchpoints with health plan, compliance, and member experience teams to keep priorities aligned and roadmap decisions transparent
  • Translate stakeholder requests into clear, actionable product requirements for design and engineering teams
  • Represent the organization’s Medicare Advantage capabilities to internal and external partners, articulating value and functionality in terms relevant to each audience
  • Manage competing priorities across stakeholder groups, negotiating scope and timelines while maintaining product integrity and member trust

Execution & Delivery:
  • Partner with design, engineering, analytics, and IT to deliver Medicare Advantage-specific features
  • Advance the Medicare Advantage roadmap through iterative delivery, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and changes
  • Define success metrics and report progress in stakeholder-friendly formats

Customer Experience Optimization:
  • Monitor Medicare Advantage member journey data to identify pain points specific to this population (e.g., digital literacy barriers, benefits confusion) and use findings to build stakeholder alignment around prioritization
  • Define, implement, and manage A/B tests to optimize engagement and conversion among Medicare Advantage members
  • Stay current on CMS regulatory changes, Medicare Advantage industry trends, and competitor offerings, and communicate implications to stakeholders proactively

Key Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of product management experience building consumer-facing digital experiences; experience in Medicare Advantage, health plans, or Medicare-focused healthcare strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success building and managing relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders (e.g., health plan operations, compliance, clinical, marketing) and driving alignment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a track record of building products that improve engagement for older adult or Medicare populations
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, APIs, and data-driven decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
  • Experience with web analytics platforms (Amplitude, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Mixpanel)
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Amplitude Experiment) for iterative optimization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different stakeholder audiences — from executives to clinical teams to engineers
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills to manage competing stakeholder demands
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Public Health, Program Development)
