State Manager - NSW

An exciting opportunity has become available for an accomplished State Retail Manager to lead a well-established NSW network for a highly regarded national retail organisation. Operating across both company-owned and franchise locations, this is a senior leadership position responsible for approximately 20 locations across NSW. You'll lead commercial performance, develop high-performing teams and build influential relationships with franchise partners across the state.

This is an opportunity for an experienced multi-site leader who knows how to balance commercial performance, people leadership and stakeholder relationships — and who can influence outcomes even when they don't have direct authority.

The Opportunity:

Reporting into the national retail leadership team, you'll take ownership of the performance and continued development of the NSW network.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading approximately 20 retail locations across NSW
• Driving sales, profitability and operational performance
• Partnering closely with both company-owned locations and franchise operators
• Building trusted, commercially focused relationships with franchise partners
• Influencing performance and change without relying on direct authority
• Coaching and developing retail leaders to build capability across the network
• Identifying opportunities to improve customer experience, productivity and commercial outcomes
• Translating national strategy into effective execution across NSW
• Maintaining strong communication between stores, franchise partners and senior leadership
• Travelling regularly throughout NSW to remain visible and connected to the network

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with accomplished State Managers, State Retail Managers and senior Regional Managers who have successfully led complex multi-site environments. You could currently be working within showroom retail, home improvement, furniture, flooring, kitchens and bathrooms, building products, automotive, trade retail or another B2B/B2C environment. Your industry background is less important than the leadership capability you bring.
You'll ideally demonstrate:

• Significant multi-site retail leadership experience
• Strong commercial and operational capability
• A track record of delivering measurable results across a retail network
• Experience leading and developing other retail leaders
• Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to influence people without relying on hierarchy or direct authority
• Confidence communicating from shop floor through to executive level
• Franchise, dealer or independently operated network experience would be highly regarded
• A stable career history and genuine interest in a long-term leadership opportunity
• High energy, drive and willingness to travel throughout NSW
