A busy, well‑established engineering workshop in Lower Hutt is looking for a skilled CNC Operator who can also program. This is a hands‑on role on modern CNC machinery, producing high‑quality components for a fast‑moving production environment.
About the Role
About the Role
- CNC operation – run CNC mills/routers safely and efficiently
- CNC programming – create, edit, and optimise programs (Fusion 360 / similar)
- Quality checks – measure parts, check tolerances, follow job sheets
- Workshop support – assist with production tasks and maintain a clean, safe workspace
- Strong experience as a CNC Operator, with the ability to program confidently
- Solid understanding of machining, tooling, feeds/speeds, and production workflows
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Reliable, mechanically minded, and safety‑focused
- Positive attitude and able to work well in a busy team environment
- Stable, long‑term role in a modern workshop
