Client is seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in wired and wireless environments. This role is responsible for configuring, administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing network resources, connectivity services, and supporting technologies across the organization.
The Network Administrator will work with network switches, routers, firewalls, VPN technologies, wireless systems, servers, and VoIP environments while providing technical support, maintaining documentation, and ensuring reliable network operations.
Core Responsibilities
• Maintain network resources including network switches, access points, server hardware, PBX/VoIP systems, operating systems, applications, and services in wired and wireless environments.
• Configure, maintain, and support network components including routers, switches, connectivity services, and access services.
• Perform advanced and custom configuration of network devices, including firewalls and VPN concentrators.
• Reconfigure network equipment as necessary to accommodate environmental and operational changes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex network issues, implement corrective actions, and escalate broader network concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain wireless authentication tools and serve as a primary support contact for campus network users.
• Administer servers in both physical and virtual environments.
• Utilize monitoring tools to analyze network traffic, maintain uptime, identify trends, address outages, and generate operational reporting.
• Create and maintain network documentation, system diagrams, and asset records.
• Support Cisco and VoIP telecommunications environments, including adds, moves, changes, and platform maintenance.
• Provide technical support to network users and help desk personnel, including user setup, access, and network environment configuration.
• Install and test software and hardware in accordance with established standards and change management processes.
• Provide support and access coordination for network replacement vendors as needed.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, Bachelors Degree preferred, Higher Education background and knowledge with 4-7 years of related experience and/or training.
Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS networking devices, including switching and related network infrastructure.
• Experience configuring and supporting Fortigate firewalls in a collapsed core network design.
• Demonstrated experience with Aruba ClearPass environments and Aruba wireless controllers.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with network administration including security, backup, recovery, and capacity planning.
• Broad-based, hands-on experience implementing and supporting network switches and routers.
• Practical experience administering Cisco phone systems and VoIP environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds.
• Excellent time management, planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with end users, identify technical and operational requirements, and develop practical technical solutions.
• Ability to manage scope and customer expectations on assigned work.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, analyze information, and develop valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, diagrams, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Must participate in an on-call rotation.
