Management Accountant

WSR are recruiting for a Management Accountant for our reputable client based in Milton Keynes.

Role Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £36k, plus generous allowances

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid working available)

Join a high-performing finance team and make a real impact on global operations. Supporting a wide range of complex projects, this role combines strategic analysis, robust financial control, and hands-on involvement in forecasting, reporting, and compliance.

You’ll play a key role in shaping financial decisions, supporting both operational and capital plans, and helping to deliver accurate, audit-ready accounts.

Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial oversight and support across a diverse project landscape
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and government regulations
• Deliver monthly management information reports to enable strategic decision-making
• Lead quarterly financial forecasting and support long-term planning activities
• Conduct deep-dive financial analysis to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain accurate reporting and recovery of labour costs across departments
• Support the development of both operational and capital expenditure proposals
• Drive benefit tracking and assist in shaping annual business plans
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes and reporting systems

Management Accountant Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

• Qualified (Chartered) accountant or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Proven experience in management or project accounting
• Strong analytical and data evaluation skills
• Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle (Fusion/Cloud preferred)
• Understanding of public sector finance and managing public money
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
