Interim Chief Financial Officer | 6-Month Contract

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Day Rate: Excellent Day Rate + VAT

Company Overview

Our client is a well-established Irish technology and managed services business with ambitious growth plans. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the executive leadership team, this is an opportunity to step into a commercially focused CFO role where you will provide immediate leadership to the finance function while supporting the wider business during an important stage of its growth journey.

This is a hands-on interim assignment suited to an experienced CFO who enjoys working closely with operational and commercial teams, bringing structure, insight and leadership from day one.

The Role

You will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring the business continues to operate effectively while supporting the executive team with commercial and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the finance function and provide day-to-day leadership.
  • Deliver accurate monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Drive cashflow management and working capital performance.
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on commercial decisions.
  • Support pricing, profitability and margin analysis.
  • Strengthen financial controls and governance.
  • Oversee audit, tax and statutory compliance.
  • Support ongoing business improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, advisors and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to the permanent CFO when appointed.

About You

You will be an experienced CFO or Finance Director with the ability to quickly understand a business and add value from the outset.

You will ideally bring:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
  • Previous experience as CFO, Finance Director or Interim CFO.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent business partnering skills.
  • Experience within technology, managed services, professional services, telecommunications or other people-led businesses would be advantageous.
  • Strong cashflow, forecasting and financial planning experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Available immediately or at short notice.
