Lab TechnicianLocation: Ypsilanti, MI | Shift: 1st Shift / Mornings | Pay: $20–$27/hr BOEJob SummaryWe are looking for a dependable Lab Technician to support daily production, wastewater treatment, and chemical testing. This position is responsible for conducting lab and production testing, monitoring chemical usage, operating the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and helping ensure the company remains in compliance with applicable requirements. The Lab Technician will work closely with the Lab Manager and production personnel to identify and troubleshoot issues.What You’ll Be DoingTest each production line prior to startup Monitor and test Wastewater Treatment System effluent Operate the Wastewater Treatment Plant Develop chemical addition sheets for production Monitor chemical usage and make adjustments as needed Monitor, calibrate, and set chemical feed pumps Respond to and verify out-of-spec conditions Conduct daily boiler testing and monitor boiler operation Troubleshoot chemical, wastewater, and production issues Perform laboratory analysis and testing Communicate with the Lab Manager, Machine Operators, Foreman, and other personnel when problems arise Work on the plant floor to answer questions and assist with troubleshooting Maintain accurate records and follow proper procedures Work in a manner that ensures the company remains in compliance Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines What We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required Previous laboratory experience is beneficial Strong math and communication skills Ability to conduct laboratory analysis and testing Comfortable working on the plant floor and troubleshooting problems Ability to read, write, and speak English Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Reliable and safety-conscious Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance standards Why Join Us?This is a great opportunity to join a company offering competitive pay, benefits, and long-term employment opportunities.
