Occupational Therapist (Contract) | Melbourne Metro

Location: St Kilda, Prahran & Fitzroy, Melbourne
Rate: Up to $70 per hour + Super
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Immediate start through to 24th December

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for an exciting contract opportunity supporting clients across Melbourne Metro. This role offers a combination of office-based work and community visits, with a focus on conducting home assessments and recommending modifications that support safe discharge and independent living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home and environmental assessments
  • Assess clients' functional independence and support needs
  • Recommend home modifications and assistive equipment
  • Support safe discharge planning and transitions back into the community
  • Complete assessment reports and documentation
  • Liaise with clients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Balance office-based administrative duties with community visits

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Experience completing home assessments and functional assessments
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to commence work immediately
