The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced technology program leader who can help turn strategic ideas into real business outcomes.

This isn't a traditional project manager role focused primarily on schedules, sprint ceremonies, or status reports. You'll work directly with technology leadership and business stakeholders to drive important initiatives across the organization, from planning and prioritization through implementation, adoption, and measurable results.

The right person will enjoy bringing order to ambiguity, solving problems, working across departments, and creating practical processes where they don't already exist.

Think of this as a combination of strategic program management, technology transformation, and internal Chief of Staff support.

What You'll Do

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Own planning and execution for technology initiatives that involve multiple business and technical teams.
  • Establish clear objectives, priorities, dependencies, risks, responsibilities, and desired business outcomes.
  • Coordinate work across application development, data, infrastructure, outside vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain visibility into key milestones, decisions, risks, and blockers while driving issues toward resolution.
  • Provide leadership with concise updates focused on progress, business impact, risks, and next steps.
  • Introduce the appropriate level of project discipline without creating unnecessary process or bureaucracy.

Business Implementation & Change

  • Make sure new solutions are successfully adopted by the organization rather than simply delivered by the technology team.
  • Coordinate rollout readiness, training, communications, process changes, adoption activities, and handoff into ongoing operations.
  • Work with department leaders to understand how workflows will change and what employees need in order to successfully adopt new capabilities.
  • Help define current-state measures and expected outcomes so the organization can evaluate the business impact of new initiatives.

Process Improvement & Playbook Development

  • Build practical templates, processes, and repeatable playbooks that make future technology implementations easier and more consistent.
  • Identify tools and processes that improve planning, tracking, communication, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Continuously refine the organization's approach based on lessons learned from completed initiatives.
  • Bring additional structure to areas that are currently informal while maintaining speed and flexibility.

Technology Strategy & Portfolio Support

  • Partner closely with technology leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming work, active initiatives, backlog, available capacity, and competing priorities.
  • Help evaluate and sequence initiatives based on business value, dependencies, resources, and organizational priorities.
  • Work across business functions to understand upcoming needs and align them with the broader technology roadmap.

Vendor & Partner Coordination

  • Coordinate outside technology vendors and implementation partners involved in active initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into vendor commitments, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Work with internal leadership and procurement partners to resolve issues and maintain accountability.
  • Help ensure outside resources remain aligned with internal capacity and business objectives.

Risk & Governance

  • Maintain appropriate project documentation, approvals, decision records, and delivery controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests related to technology initiatives.
  • Develop lightweight governance practices that reduce operational risk without unnecessarily slowing execution.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of experience leading technology projects, programs, transformation initiatives, or other complex cross-functional work.
  • Experience owning initiatives that involve both technology teams and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with senior leaders and executives.
  • Strong experience influencing people and driving results without relying on direct authority.
  • Ability to operate successfully in environments where project processes and standards are still evolving.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through.
  • Comfortable entering ambiguous situations, identifying what's missing, and creating practical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for leadership.
  • Ability to build credibility and productive relationships across departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing AI, automation, or technology-enabled process improvement initiatives.
  • Change management or large-scale business adoption experience.
  • Experience supporting M&A due diligence or post-acquisition integrations.
  • Background in insurance, financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience developing repeatable implementation or delivery playbooks.
  • Data governance exposure.
