Client is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite end-user technology support across multiple Indianapolis locations. This role serves as the face of IT, supporting hardware, operating systems, enterprise applications, new hire onboarding, accessories, endpoint health, and adoption of new IT services.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct IT support to employees for computer issues, questions, and technical concerns.
- Troubleshoot endpoint devices, peripherals, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
- Support hardware setup, configuration, diagnostics, remediation, and ongoing device readiness.
- Ensure devices meet security standards, including patches, driver updates, and supported application levels.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Azure, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, accessories, and adoption of new IT initiatives and services.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
- Use proactive support practices and data analytics to identify hardware issues and improve the digital user experience.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
- Company does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status, including H-1B or TN status.
- IT support experience with Windows and Mac environments.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, internet security, and data privacy principles.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills focused on endpoint devices and peripherals.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Azure, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Basic understanding of Windows, Mac, and iOS operating systems.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical information for non-technical customers.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- CompTIA A certification.
- Apple Certified Support Professional certification.
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification.
- Previous help desk experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional certification or related IT technician certification.
Work Details
- 100% onsite, 5 days per week.
- Rotating between 3 Indianapolis sites: Corporate, Technology Center-North, and Technology Center-South.
