Our client has Specialist Psychiatrist positions with vacancies across Mental Health Services. You will provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Psychiatry services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. Positions include the specialties of:
Where you will be working:
Our client’s Mental Health Services care for adults, adolescents, and children and work with their patients, families and carers to determine what options are available to help with recovery. There are two Acute Adult Inpatient Mental Health Units, one in Tweed Heads and one in Lismore. There is one Sub-Acute Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit in Byron Bay. Community Mental Health Services are located in Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah, Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore and Grafton.
The district offers a diverse range of attractions and lifestyles. The Tweed Valley is a subtropical oasis with rugged terrain, arty riverside villages, historic coastal towns, and serves as the gateway to the Gold Coast. The Ballina and Byron Shires are famous for their surf breaks and holiday destinations, with a hinterland rich in vibrant communities and local produce. The Lismore area, also known as the Rainbow Region, features stunning waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages, and relaxed seaside communities. Further south, the Upper Clarence region is a nature-lover’s paradise with world-heritage listed rainforests, vast unspoilt bushland, and charming country hamlets. The Clarence River connects the regional centre of Grafton with the historic township of Maclean and the seaside towns of Iluka and Yamba. All candidates must be able to provide the following:
- Current Criminal Record Screening Clearance (within 12 months)
- Medical Indemnity Insurance details
- Hold AHPRA registration with Psychiatry or be eligible for registration with our support
- Hold current valid NSW Working With Children Check
