Chandler Macleod is partnering with a major iron ore producer to recruit two experienced SMP/Mechanical Project Supervisors to support a major brownfield project in the Eastern Pilbar.
You’ll play a key role supervising site execution for the replacement of the Train Loadout Facility and supporting infrastructure, ensuring safe delivery, schedule adherence, and quality outcomes across SMP/mechanical scopes.

Chandler Macleod is partnering with a major iron ore producer to recruit two experienced SMP/Mechanical Project Supervisors to support a major brownfield project in the Eastern Pilbar.
You’ll play a key role supervising site execution for the replacement of the Train Loadout Facility and supporting infrastructure, ensuring safe delivery, schedule adherence, and quality outcomes across SMP/mechanical scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical/SMP activities across project and shutdown environments
- Lead crews and contractors to deliver works safely, efficiently and to standard
- Coordinate daily execution plans, permits, isolation/LOTO and work packs
- Monitor progress against schedule; resolve constraints and escalate risks early
- Maintain strong field leadership and safety culture aligned with site requirements
- Proven mechanical supervision background (ideally 5+ years in a supervisory role)
- Shutdown / major project execution experience in mining or heavy industry
- S26 (DMIRS) qualification – mandatory
- Strong safety leadership, contractor management capability, and clear communication
- Ability to work on-site on an 8:6 roster in the Central Pilbara
- Immediate project demand with new projects starting now
- Competitive contract rate ($105/hr + super PAYG
- 12-month initial contract with genuine extension opportunities on ongoing works
- Work with a tier-one operator on a high-profile site infrastructure upgrade
- Roster: 8:6 (site-based)
- Start dates: 28 October 2026 and 4 November 2026 (2 x positions)
