Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a supportive and driven individual to join our Production team. This role will be responsible for setting daily, weekly and monthly goals and communicating to team members, organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities, preparing schedules, and empowering, coaching, and mentoring team members in a manufacturing facility. A Production Supervisor works with a team to ensure health and safety codes are followed, timely production output and identify issues in efficiency and make suggestions while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and a problem solver and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that assemblers are trained and well-versed in departmental procedures and quality standards
- Maintain production scheduling tools, productivity board, and work closely with other departments to achieve goals
- Regulate employee time off requests to ensure departmental commitments are met despite absences
- Monitor employee performance: make recommendations to enhance improvement, assign projects to further elevate talent and skill level, and conduct annual performance reviews
- Report, track, communicate, and resolve any shortages regarding parts or any equipment related issues
- Ensure production and on-time-delivery targets are known
- Respond quickly to changes in business management or scope of responsibilities
- Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirements
- Participate in MRB and quality discussions
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks)
- Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Follow 5S principles
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 1+ years of assembly experience
- 3+ years supervisory experience
Core Competencies:
- Advanced operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage.? Proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.
- Advanced verbal/written communication skills
- Advanced customer service skills including conflict resolution, communication, negotiation, etc.
- Understanding of KPI (key performance indicators)
- Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities
- Proficient computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Fully site based
- Climate controlled manufacturing plant
- Protective eyewear and footwear required
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
