Metal Fabricator

Responsible for preparing metal parts and materials for powder coating. This hands-on role includes washing, blasting, masking, and racking parts, as well as safely operating a fork truck and overhead crane to move materials through the shop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts and materials for powder coating.

• Load and unload the parts washer.

• Perform steel grit blasting to clean and prepare part surfaces.

• Perform glass bead blasting as required.

• Mask parts to protect areas that should not be coated.

• Load and unload parts on powder coat racks.

• Operate a fork truck to move materials and finished parts.

• Operate a 5-ton overhead crane to move heavy parts safely.

• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous metal fabrication, sandblasting, or powder coat prep experience preferred.

• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Willingness to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when blasting.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Pay Rate is $20.00 per hour

• 1st Shift

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
