Systems Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities System Delivery Leadership

• Lead the lifecycle delivery of owner-supplied long-lead equipment and systems packages.
• Establish package priorities, responsibilities, boundaries, governance processes, and review workflows.
• Allocate resources effectively across system delivery activities to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Maintain accountability for delivery outcomes throughout procurement, design, manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance.

Technical Integration & Assurance

• Ensure systems and packages are coordinated and integrated across all engineering disciplines and project interfaces.
• Verify compliance with technical, security, cyber security, quality, information management, operational, and contractual requirements.
• Ensure alignment with the approved reference design and project standards.
• Support technical decision-making and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Partner with Contracts and Procurement teams to support package procurement strategies and supplier engagement.
• Lead technical evaluations and provide recommendations during tender and award processes.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive accountability for delivery commitments.
• Ensure meaningful transfer of supplier data, asset information, and technical documentation to support operations and maintenance requirements.

Novation & Delivery Management

• Retain ownership and accountability of systems packages through novation and transition to delivery teams.
• Oversee package delivery performance through manufacturing, logistics, installation support, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage escalations and mitigate risks impacting scope, schedule, quality, or performance outcomes.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of System Delivery Leads and Project/Package Engineers.
• Scale engineering and package delivery resources as project requirements expand.
• Foster collaboration across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness teams.

Qualifications & Experience Essential

• Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure, industrial, data centre, energy, utilities, or major capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing owner-procured equipment packages and long-lead systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering delivery, procurement, vendor management, and systems integration.
• Experience managing packages through novation, manufacture, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Proven leadership capability in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Data centre project experience.
• Experience across electrical, cooling, controls, OT, fire/life safety, or critical infrastructure systems.
• Knowledge of cyber security, operational technology, and mission-critical environments.
• Project management or engineering leadership certifications.
