Shift: 8am- 4:30pm

Start Immediately – Shipping Warehouse Associate (Heavy Lifting – Rugs)

A growing home furnishings warehouse is looking for dependable, hardworking Shipping Warehouse Associates to join our Shipping Department. This is a physically demanding position that involves handling large area rugs and preparing customer orders for shipment. Job Responsibilities:

• Load and unload large area rugs from trailers, containers, and warehouse storage locations.

• Pick, stage, wrap, label, and prepare rug orders for outbound shipment.

• Safely lift, carry, move, and stack heavy rugs throughout the warehouse using proper lifting techniques.

• Load outbound trucks accurately and securely to ensure safe delivery.

• Verify order accuracy and inspect products before shipment.

• Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided if applicable).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.

• Work efficiently with team members to meet daily shipping deadlines and productivity goals.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull rugs weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Team lifting is required for oversized rugs.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for the entire shift, including frequent lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, where temperatures may be hot during the summer and cold during the winter.

• Previous warehouse, shipping, order fulfillment, or material handling experience is preferred but not required.

• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus but not required.

• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance are required.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
