Senior Business Analyst - GIS Systems - Utilities Sector

We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst with GIS capability to support a large-scale , 12 month project. This role is focused on establishing and preparing GIS and integrated systems to ensure asset information can be effectively captured, stored, and managed ahead of project go-live.

Working closely with Senior Stakeholders, Project and Product Managers, you’ll play a key role in defining requirements, documenting asset data structures, and contributing to the business case.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, and document business and data requirements for GIS and integrated systems
• Support development of the business case alongside the Project Manager
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to understand transmission asset types and data needs
• Define how different asset classes will be captured, structured, and managed in systems
• Collaborate with system owners to support integration of multiple datasets and platforms
• Facilitate discussions across impacted business units and technical teams

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on complex projects
• Strong exposure to GIS platforms (e.g. ArcGIS or similar)
• Experience in Electricity / Gas / Water networks and Assets
• Solid understanding of asset data, asset types, and system integration concepts
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience supporting business case development and requirements documentation
