The Role
This senior position will suit an experienced Wills & Estates Lawyer who has spent the majority of their career specialising in this area and is confident advising on complex estate planning, estate administration and contentious estate matters.
Working with high-net-worth individuals, families and clients with sophisticated business and investment structures, you will take a leading role within the practice while continuing to manage complex, high-level matters.
A key part of the position will be leading and mentoring an experienced team, while contributing to the ongoing development and direction of the practice.
There is flexibility around how the role may be structured, including part-time arrangements for the right candidate. The firm is also open to speaking with established practitioners who may be considering winding down their own practice and are looking for the right succession pathway.

The Work
Your practice will cover a broad range of complex Wills & Estates matters, including:
- Complex estate and succession planning
- Estate planning involving companies, trusts and other business or investment structures
- Preparation and review of Wills, testamentary trusts and Powers of Attorney
- Complex estate administration and probate matters
- Estate and Will disputes and related litigation
- Succession issues involving family and privately held businesses
- Working alongside clients’ accountants, financial advisers and other professional advisers
- Advising clients on significant legislative and regulatory developments affecting Wills & Estates
You will be an accomplished Wills & Estates practitioner with 10+ years’ PAE within this area of practice.
You will also bring:
- Strong technical expertise across estate planning, administration and litigation
- Experience advising high-net-worth and sophisticated private clients
- Confidence dealing with complex family, trust and business structures
- Sound judgement and the ability to provide clear, practical advice
- Strong drafting, communication and client relationship skills
- The experience and credibility to lead, support and mentor senior lawyers
- A strong understanding of current and emerging developments in Wills & Estates
- A collaborative approach to building trusted relationships with clients and professional referrers
