Client Side Project Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to step into a varied and autonomous position that blends client-side Project Management with Superintendent duties. You'll manage projects from initial concept through to completion, while also taking a hands-on role during construction as Superintendent, administering contracts on the client's behalf.

This gives you strong exposure to the complete project lifecycle, covering planning, stakeholder engagement, procurement, construction delivery and contract administration. Working across a broad mix of sectors, you'll manage multiple projects simultaneously while forging solid relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

This position would suit a Project Manager who thrives on ownership, brings strong commercial and contractual expertise, and is keen to expand their experience within a well-respected consultancy.

DUTIES.

• Manage projects from early feasibility and planning right through to completion
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders
• Take on Superintendent duties throughout the construction phase
• Administer construction contracts and ensure all parties fulfil their contractual obligations
• Assess and manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual issues
• Issue relevant contractual notices and certifications as required by each project
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders across all stages of delivery
• Chair project and site meetings, and provide regular client reporting
• Track project programmes, budgets, risks and key milestones
• Oversee construction activities to ensure delivery meets quality, programme and budget targets
• Identify and proactively manage project risks and delivery challenges
• Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or property sector
• Client-side or consultancy Project Management experience highly regarded
• Experience in Superintendent or contract administration duties highly desirable
• Solid understanding of construction contracts and delivery processes
• Experience managing projects across multiple sectors
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Sound commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities
• Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Property or a related field
