Compliance Manager

About the Opportunity

An established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Compliance professional to lead the transformation and modernization of its compliance function.

This role offers a rare opportunity to move beyond maintaining existing processes and instead play a key role in designing, building, and embedding a best-in-class compliance program across the organization. The successful candidate will have significant visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to shape the future compliance culture of a sizeable business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of the company's compliance framework and governance structure.
• Design and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee whistleblowing, investigations, and case management processes.
• Promote a strong speak-up culture and increase employee engagement with compliance initiatives.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programs.
• Partner with business leaders to provide practical compliance guidance.
• Develop compliance reporting and monitoring mechanisms.
• Build and lead a growing compliance team over time.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven experience building, implementing, or significantly improving compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Internal reporting / speak-up systems
  • Investigations
  • Compliance risk management
  • Compliance training and culture initiatives
• Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Strong communication and change management skills.
• Previous people management experience is advantageous but not essential.
