Position Overview:
Aequor Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to work at Salinas Valley State Prison (SVSP). This position offers the opportunity to provide clinical and administrative support within a correctional healthcare setting while working alongside nurses, providers, and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Support medication and treatment workflows as directed
• Assist with patient intake and health screenings
• Collaborate with nursing and healthcare staff

Requirements:
• Active Medical Assistant certification (if required by state/facility)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a correctional environment
• Must be able to pass background screening
